MSNBC
Lean Forward
We photographed MSNBC’s on-camera talent two years running. The initial campaign was a classic studio portrait, with exceptional lighting. We worked around the busy talent’s schedules who were running from their set into our make-shift studio space for their dramatic portrait, or we would capture them on their TV set right before or after filming their show at 30 Rock, or even in their office. Being nimble was key!
The second shoot was on-location in NY alongside the broadcast shoot, directed by Spike Lee. Our photographer, Nigel Parry, gracefully rolled with ALL the punches, last-minute changes, location issues, etc. Even with the limited time for our shot list, we ended up with excellent photos.
Special thanks to my creative partner, the extraordinary Milton Un, to find humor with me in all of it.
